Participants are encouraged to develop independence
through individual
goal-setting and skill development. Residential locations are selected to
optimize availability of community
resources such as stores, banking, postal
services, etc.
Residents are encouraged to be productive through planned activities that
foster their sense of cooperation and contribution.
They have the
opportunity to socialize in a family setting and participate in outings and
events that they have helped to plan.
